Nokia IP290 comes with a Nokia IPSO 4.2 and an updates architecture that makes it a great platform for unified threat management (UTM) implementations. It combines network performance with a compact ? RU (rack unit) security appliance.

Nokia IP690 supports evolved ADP cards in order to accelerate firewall and VPN performance and offers continuity in actions. It has a multi-Gigabit throughput that makes it appealing especially to large businesses and service providers. Nokia IP690 Firewall offers a performance of up to 7 Gbps of throughput.

"By enabling our customers to boost the performance of their security appliance - when the time is right for them - we are giving them a way to protect their network while also protecting their IT investments.", said Tom Furlong, vice president, Security & Mobile Connectivity, Nokia. Moreover, "Businesses today are looking to get as much mileage as possible from every IT dollar spent, but they simply cannot compromise on performance when it comes to protecting the security of the corporate network."
