Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation might bring to the spotlight the long rumored HTC Pyramid as soon as April 12th is here, some of the latest rumors around the Internet suggest.

On that date, the company would hold an event in the UK, during which it would unveil a new device, at least this is what the invite it sent out reads

“See what’s next” is what the invite to the said press event reads, though no further info on what might be launched on that day emerged for the time being.

However, while nothing was officially confirmed, some rumors on what the company might unveil at that time did surface.

Apparently, the handset vendor is expected to release either the HTC Pyramid smartphone, or the European flavor of the HTC EVO 3D, which should include GSM radios, and not CDMA connectivity as Sprint's model does.

While the latter device is already official in the US, and somehow confirmed for the European market, the former has yet to be formally announced, and April 12th might just be the day for that.

The phone was rumored to come to the market with a dual-core 1.2GHz application processor, a large touchscreen display, 8-megapixel photo snapper with HD video recording capabilities, front-facing camera, and the usual connectivity options.

At the same time rumor has it that HTC might bring to the spotlight a new tablet PC, which could run under Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system.

Some of the previous rumors on the matter suggested that HTC might launch in the not too far future tablet PCs that sport larger touchscreen displays than HTC Flyer does, but no official confirmation on the matter emerged until now.

However, provided that the rumors pan out, we should be able to learn more on what HTC has in store for us very soon, so stay tuned.
