A new mobile phone from Taiwanese handset vendor HTC Corporation has been spotted at the WiFi and Bluetooth certification forums, and rumor has it that this might be very same HTC Pyramid that made it into the wild a few times before.

Sporting the code name PG58XXX, the new mobile phone was spotted with support for WiFi b/g/n on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, as well as for Bluetooth 3.0 capabilities.

It seems that the Bluetooth SIG also unveiled a series of info on the availability of this device, and that it is expected to arrive on shelves in Europe, North America and South America.

The PG58XXX code name is said to point at the handset's inclusion in a new series of mobile phones at HTC, namely PG58, as Blog of Mobile!! notes (via Pocketnow).

Apparently the series might include devices with qHD (540 x 960 pixel) displays on board, the same screen resolution as the newly launched HTC EVO 3D would sport.

While there is no official confirmation on whether the new device would indeed be the Pyramid, there is a great possibility that the rumor would pan out, since the device in question is reportedly sporting a qHD display, along with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

HTC already introduced the EVO 3D, which should become available for purchase sometime this summer, but was mum on Pyramid so far. According to rumors, both phones might be released at the same time.

Previous reports on HTC Pyramid unveiled some details on the handset's specifications too, including the fact that it might sport a 4.3-inch touchscreen display boasting the aforementioned resolution.

Moreover, it is expected to be released with a 1.2GHz application processor inside, complemented by 768MB of RAM, and the latest flavor of Google's Android operating system on board.

We already had the chance to take a look at some photos with the new handset, yet we'll have to wait for the formal announcement on it to learn whether the rumored design and specs would indeed pan out.
