Massive data leak offers insight

Leaks regarding release dates are not uncommon in the videogaming world, but leaks about the entire line-up of a gaming company's offerings for the following period surely are. So, it certainly did come as a surprise when intrepid users from the NeoGAF forums managed to get hold of a lot of information regarding previously unannounced titles by thoroughly searching data put out by market research firm Intellisponse. You can safely bet they're not going to work with Microsoft and Activision again.

Multiple titles of those uncovered come from top publisher Activision. Apparently, the Spider-Man series will also get a game called Spider-Man vs. Marvel Zombies, just over a year after the release of the one currently in development, Web of Shadows. There will also be a Transformers 2 game, tied with the movie, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance is getting a sequel. Activision is also thinking of getting into the Balance Board market by creating a Wii version with balance support for Tony Hawk's Skateboard and for one of the Spider-Man games.

It seems that cult favorite Forza Motorsport series is getting a third game, with some 100 tracks and 200 cars in it. Also, after releasing Too Human, Silicon Knights will go into full development for a title called The Crucible, portrayed as being a Diablo-like dungeon crawler with updated mechanics.

There was also information leaked on a new Nintendo Wii title that is based on Bill Nye's "Science Guy" television show for children. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Gossip Girl are getting versions for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS, while Ultimate Band is coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and the Wii. Even more, there's also confirmation on the fact that Wii Yoga will expand the range of yoga poses and exercises that Wii Fit has been offering.

It also seems that Joss Whedon, maybe best known for his work on Buffy and Firefly, will be advising a team on a new game called Powers and Titans, which will probably feature superheroes.

Publishers are not confirmed for most of the titles above, but such a big information leak might force the game companies to try and implement some sort of "rumor control" by talking officially about some of the titles revealed.
