W100 flyPhone, especially designed for children

Children everywhere join hands and prepare to welcome the newest model from Firefly, the GSM handsets producer for the little ones. The new model is considerably more evolved than previous ones and responds to the users' need for high tech, although it is far from coming close to what regular handsets provide.

Children have never really been into the practical side of anything and Firefly has noticed that, and decided to use it in their new handset release. The second handset in their line especially designed for kids looks somewhat more "serious" and also brings increased performances. It's like the old phone has grown up just a bit into another one, more capable and not as childish.

The W100 flyPhone has a shape similar to that of the previous model. It has strongly rounded corners and a similar blue color. Still, when powered, it now reveals a color display. That's one huge upgrade, as monocrome handsets are quite old-fashioned and those color-loving kids know this very well.

The device is slightly larger, but that is easy to explain with the more evolved features that it manages to pack. This time, the mobile phone also includes a camera. It's only a 1.3 megapixel one, but what more could you ask for when it will be used only for capturing memories, as many as possible, as kids grow up so fast.

The flyPhone comes with a completely dark keypad, difficult to spot when the device is shut off. Still, once the user powers it up, a bright backlight makes it easy to notice. Moreover, its light differs by several configurations depending on what mode the phone is in.

This dual band GSM handset has just been approved by FCC, which leaves room for hope of a future release on the US market.
