Usually, the things you find on eBay are not that interesting or have already sold out because, in most cases, someone beat you to it. This time, however, things look pretty promising, which is why this piece of news cannot disappear or fade away or anything else.

To start clarifying things, on an eBay auction, a Sony Ericsson C905a 8.1 Megapixel camera was available for purchasing to potential clients. While there is nothing unusual or worth remembering until this point, the good part comes in that it had the AT&T logo at start-up. Furthermore, this particular version of this device was never announced as being up for sale from AT&T.

Naturally, what most of us figured was that perhaps AT&T was trying some mobiles on, or that this was just some small-time hacker's fantasy come true, since the media is actually writing on the subject. This last idea holds its own, especially if we’re to consider that there were no other AT&T logos anywhere else on the device.

On the other hand, it is not that unusual for certain mobiles to not get an official release sometimes, but to still come out, only less publicized. Even more than this, some voices claim that this “sneak attack,” because it can be called that under these circumstances, was planned by the people at Ericsson in an effort to demonstrate to AT&T that the device is worth adding to its lineup. Of course, to most of us, the idea may seem a bit extreme and probably highly unlikely as well, but the truth is, in this business, you never know.

No matter which of the possible scenarios above is the correct one, we can now keep our eyes peeled for the C905a to appear in AT&T's lineup. Nevertheless, before that, we should check with AT&T to see if it has ever released any version of this mobile from SE.
