14 DAY TRIAL // While launching her own affordable clothing line and a new perfume, and being a full-time mom, Britney Spears has also found the time to lay down a few new tracks. Not only that, but she will even be releasing a brand new album in the following weeks, producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins says in a recent interview cited by Ace Showbiz.
Though Britney’s record label has rarely, if ever, put out a material without properly promoting it many months ahead of release, if we’re to believe Darkchild, a new studio album is on its way. Fans should be happy to hear this, since they’ve been wondering about it ever since she wrapped up her Circus Tour and several tabs started to report that she was back in the studio. When nothing came out of those rumors, it was just assumed that Spears was on a well-deserved vacation and not thinking about releasing new music just yet.
“Uber producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins has just made fans of Britney Spears curious. Darkchild hinted in a Ustream session held over the weekend that the pop star will release a new material in the near future, saying ‘Britney fans are gonna be so happy in few weeks.’ Indeed fans have been wondering when the singer would drop her new song because she has been publishing photos of studio sessions but no word yet on any progress. It has been almost two years since she released ‘Circus’ and more than six months since it was rumored that she would release a single on top of an album,” Ace Showbiz writes.
All the hints are there – if one bothers to look. “Previously, Danja who is working with Spears in this project said, ‘We can start one way and end up a totally different way, I really don’t know.’ He added that there would be ‘hard-hitting, uptempo, high-energy’ songs in the album. Additionally reggae artist Predator Dub Assassins confirmed via Twitter, ‘Co-Writing on a track for Britney Spears ft Akon. WTF?! What is gonna happen next?’ Another mentioned collaborator is David Guetta,” the same e-zine notes.
If all these collaborators are really working with Spears on a new album, it is bound to have record sales, it is being said.
