According to the latest news on the Web, the wireless operator AT&T is getting ready for the release of two new BlackBerry mobile phones, while T-Mobile is also reported to prepare the launch of another BlackBerry handset. Basically, all the three devices are said to come with about the same features, but no info on their release date or price was unveiled so far.

The two BlackBerry smartphones that are expected to go to AT&T have surfaced about five months after the carrier launched its latest mobile phone from Research in Motion, Bold 9000, which can be purchased nowadays for $299.99 on contract, and, while there are no details on the exact availability of the devices, it seems that they will be codenamed BlackBerry Magnum and BlackBerry Onyx, at least this is what BGR reports.

The BlackBerry Magnum, which is supposedly a handset that was leaked in the wild back in October, should come around featuring a touchscreen display, which would be able to provide a 480 x 360 pixel resolution, as well as GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS connectivity, and a full-QWERTY keyboard. It should also include GPS capabilities, Wi-Fi functionality and a photo snapper.

According to the news, the BlackBerry Onyx is expected to feature about the same capabilities as the BlackBerry Magnum, only that it might come with a different design and without the touchscreen display.

T-Mobile USA is also expected to soon add a new RIM handset to its lineup, namely the BlackBerry Driftwood, which is reported to include about the same features as the above mentioned devices, while also including UMA support, which would make it a great option for the carrier's HotSpot service.

All of the new unannounced BlackBerry devices are reported to be included in RIM’s 9000 series, and they should all come around sporting 3G connectivity. In addition to that, BGR also says that RIM might refresh the Bold with a version that includes UMA capabilities. At the same time, the BlackBerry Gemini might include an entire series of devices, not a single one, though they could actually be low-cost ones.
