The competition in the Internet tablets' segment has really started to heat up over the past couple of months, a very large number of companies introducing all sorts of products of this type, the latest to out a new device of this type being IN Media, who's touting its new Windows 7 Tablet PC.

According to the manufacturer, the tablet runs on the full featured Windows 7 operating system and is powered by the 1.66GHZ Intel Atom processor, similar to some of the other slates we've come across over the past couple of months.

However, unlike most tablets, the device from IN Media comes with a whopping 160 GB hard drive of storage built-in, allowing users to carry around quite a serious amount of content wherever they might go.

Plus, the tablet comes with an HDMI interface for viewing high definition content playing on the device itself via a large screen HD TV.

With a forward facing camera and an 11 1/4 by 6 inch bright LCD screen, the device could prove to be quite useful for Skyping and social networking, while built-in in eReader functionality is also present.

"We wanted to launch a tablet that did everything, not just a media player or eReader or net book but all those things and much more," stated IN Media C.E.O. Nick Karnik.

"Now users have the power of a full computer in a sleek and elegant format," the company's CEO added.

The product is scheduled for shipment in Q1m 2011 and will roll out in Asia and the U.S. with at a suggested retail price of $399.

To be perfectly honest, this is quite a surprise, since this price point makes the device from IN Media one of the most affordable products of this type available out there, whether we're talking about Windows 7 or Android tablets alike.
