Although most tablets we've talked about lately are iPad clones that will never be sold in the US (at least not via the official channels), things are in fact a bit different as far as the Woozoo Windows 7 tablet is concerned, given the fact that the company manufacturing it has actually presented a model to the FCC, meaning that they're planning to sell it across the US in a completely legitimate and legal manner.

According to WirelessGoodness, the Woozoo company is based in Shenzen, China (where, by the way, most of the world's consumer electronics are manufactured), and the product they've submitted for approval is a 8.9-inch tablet running Windows 7, whose overall configuration is quite similar to that of the some of the other products of this type we've covered over time.

So, in order to run the operating system from Microsoft, the tablet comes equipped with an Intel Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, accompanied by 1GB of RAM memory and a 32GB SSD, used for storage purposes.

Additional features include the presence of a couple of USB ports, a VGA output, front-facing camera for video communications, as well as a SIM card slot, which will really come in handy in equipping this thing with enhanced 3G capabilities.

As mentioned above, the Woozoo's tablet main control system is its large (8.9-inch) touchscreen display, which delivers an 1024x600 pixels resolution, making it relatively OK for watching video clips and movies.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability for this tablet have not yet been provided, which means that you won't get to purchase it this Christmas, and you'll probably have to wait until early next year.

Hopefully, the Woozoo tablet will come at a pretty decent price point, because, otherwise, taking on the myriad of other tablets already available on the US market will prove to be a daunting task.
