Officials are releasing the identities of the men and women killed in the D.C. Navy Yard shooting. Seven names already emerged yesterday, and reports say that 12 people have died.

All those shot in the Navy building were contractors and civilians. Some had previous Navy experience.

59-year-old Michael Arnold was a pilot and he was in the process of building his own plane, according to New York Daily News. He was also a former Navy commander who had retired.

“He was a wonderful person, a loving son, brother and father to two boys, Chris and Eric,” Arnold’s uncle, Steve Hunter, describes.

51-year-old Arthur Daniels was described by his wife as a good dad to five children and an awesome granddad to nine grandkids.

A sibling of 53-year-old Sylvia Frasier's has told the press about wishing to forgive Navy shooter Aaron Alexis.
