Officials at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in D.C. have informed in a press conference that three victims have been critically injured in the Navy Base shooting.

More than eight people have been wounded, but only three have incurred serious injuries.

“Their chances for survival are very good,” one official says, as reported by Fox 5.

One of the victims is male, while the other two are females. One police officer and 2 civilians are currently being hospitalized at the D.C. center.

President Obama is soon to give out a statement about the status of the manhunt. Police have identified two suspects in the shooting and they are reportedly “down.”

“#BREAKING: 4 killed and 8 injured. One shooter down #NavyYardShooting #Navy #CNICHQ,” a Navy spokesperson wrote on Twitter earlier today.
