Famous actor Nathan Fillion, from TV series like Firefly or Castle, has once again talked about the possibility of playing the main role in the new Uncharted movie project, of adventurer Nathan Drake.

The Uncharted movie project is now starting from scratch under the guidance of director Neil Burger, and once again fans of the video game series are expressing their desire to see Nathan Fillion play the role of Nathan Drake.

Fillion has now talked about this possibility and urged fans to stop petitioning the new director or Sony itself and just let them judge which actors should appear in the new movie.

"I am certainly still interested in playing Nathan Drake", the actor said to Screenrant at last week's Comic-Con. "I think every actor I know wants their action-adventure hero, their Indiana Jones. That would be a good one for me, I think."

But while he won't say no to the offer of playing Nathan Drake, Fillion isn't keen on fans assaulting the people in charge in order to see him in the movie.

"What I don't want is people pressuring that poor man [director Neil Burger] and souring him on the actual idea. If we could somehow just… do you remember the movie Inception? I think that's what we need to do. We need to let him land on the idea on his own."

The new director of the Uncharted, Neil Burger, already talked about starting from scratch in terms of the script, and only after it's done will the preliminary casting be done. He also admitted that he is aware of the fan movement to see Nathan Fillion cast in the main role, but he has yet to make a decision just yet.

In the meanwhile, Uncharted fans should just put their confidence in Burger, and look forward to hearing more news about the movie project in the future.
