Mid-tower enclosure with bottom-mounted power supply

Those who thought Raidmax had the day all to itself when it came to the case market were sorely mistaken, as NZXT decided to launch a product of its own, dubbed Tempest 210.

Like all other parts of a computer, cases are available in a large and ever increasing variety.

One of the most recent newcomers is a member of NZXT's Crafted Series, one that features the mid-tower form factor.

In this, the Tempest 210, as it is called, is similar to the Raidmax Viper, which we covered separately (here).

The new model from Tempest is a bit less visually embellished, however, though it still has a solid construction, intended to keep the insides cooler and safer than other items can manage.

“Tempest 210 is ideal for gamers whose rigs house a lot of raw power” said Johnny Hou, Founder and Chief Designer at NZXT.

“This will aggressively chill your critical components to ensure a cool system and surrounding area.”

The tempest 210 boasts three exposed 5.25-inch drive bays, for ODDs (optical disk drives) or accessories like fan controllers and drive cages (adapters that can house 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch HDDs/SSDs), among other things.

Speaking of hard disk drives and solid state drives, NZXT made sure to implement no less than eight internal 3.5-inch bays, complete with tool-free mounting.

Additionally, prospective buyers will be able to identify the full mesh front panel, the all-black coating (inside and out) and the pair of pre-installed fans (140mm at the top and 120mm at the back).

Furthermore, the PSU (power supply) is mounted at the bottom, instead of the top where regular cases hold it.

Online stores should start listing this item soon, if they haven't already, for the price of $54.99.

Meanwhile, those who want to learn more about the product can directly check out all available information on the NZXT Crafted Series Tempest 210 gaming PC chassis product page.
