With all the new hardware coming out, users who are thinking of buying a new PC will invariably check out the PC case field, a place where Raidmax decided to show its stuff through the Viper.

When the DIY (do it yourself) computer market established itself as an intrinsic part of the IT field, many companies chose specializations.

While there are big corporations that deal in multiple sorts of devices, many focus on a certain type of item, or a narrower field than others.

Raidmax is one of the companies that decided to focus on the PC case and accessory market.

Its most recent move consists of a new PC chassis that users from North America will be able to get a hold of next month.

More specifically, the Viper chassis, as the new product is called, will start shipping in Canada and the United States at some point in October, 2011.

That said, the case is a mid-tower model that can house ATX and micro-ATX motherboards, as well as up to four optical disk drives (ODDs), thanks to the four 5.25-inch bays.

Then again, since just one ODD is usually enough for everyone, users will most likely use the extra ones for fan controllers or other accessories, if they use them at all.

Meanwhile, four internal 3.5-inch bays exist, as does a front I/O panel with a pair of audio ports and USB (3.0, apparently).

Other assets include several fans (diameter of 120mm, with or without blue LEDs, side-window spinner is optional), pre-drilled watercooling holes and a side window, all in a frame measuring 521 (L) X 185 (W) X 445 (H) mm.

When shipments commence, prospective buyers will have to part with the sum of $59.99 and will be able to choose between three colors (black, red and white).
