The official NASA application, available for download now from the Android Market, will deliver images from NASA IOTD, APOD and NASAImages.org, along with on-demand NASA Videos from around the agency.
Other features of this application include: - Current Visible Passes for the International Space Station (ISS) - ISS and Earth Orbiting Satellite Tracker - NASA Twitter Feeds from around the agency - News and Features from the NASA topic areas - Facebook Connect and Integrated Twitter client for easy sharing - Live Streaming of NASA TV - NASA TV and What's On Your TV schedules - Map and links to all of the NASA centers - Featured content section. At the same time, the mobile software was designed so as to offer information on current NASA missions, and to provide users with details on planned launches, along with countdown clocks.
The application is available for free and can be downloaded on all handsets running under Android 2.1 or newer versions. Currently, the software is available in version 1.0.1, as it got a minor upgrade only recently.
