As expected, the myTouch 4G Slide smartphone hit shelves at T-Mobile USA for as low as $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new 2-year agreement.

However, it appears that major retailer Walmart is offering a better deal on T-Mobile's myTouch 4G Slide, as the smartphone is available for purchase for only $99.99 with a new two-year contract.

The slider smartphone comes with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on board and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes it easier to type.

The latest member of the myTouch family boasts one of the best 8-megapixel cameras available on the market, with zero shutter lag and other advanced features, such as: SweepShot panorama, ClearShot HDR, BurstShot, auto face detection and low light performance that makes it possible to capture great pictures even in low light conditions.

Furthermore, the handset has a secondary front-facing camera that allows users to make video calls or take portrait snapshots of themselves.

myTouch 4G Slide comes with T-Mobile KidZone service, which is intended to make the phone safer for kids.

Basically, users only need to set their myTouch 4G Slide phone to T-Mobile KidZone and prevent children from texting, dialing, opening email, using specific apps, deleting apps, surfing the web, and more.

In addition, T-Mobile KidZone allows users to set what exactly is available and what is off limits.

The handset features a dedicated Media Room where users can access their media, including music, videos, TV, Internet radio, FM radio, and games like Bejeweled 2.

With Screen Share, they can share videos and music wirelessly from the myTouch 4G Slide phone to other DLNA-enabled devices by pushing a single button.

Equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the myTouch 4G Slide also packs 8GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).
