Wireless services provider T-Mobile has just confirmed that it planned on making available for purchase on its airwaves the recently unveiled myTouch 4G Slide smartphone as soon as July 27th.

The handset was announced last month, and was already put on the coming-soon page on the wireless carrier's website, but specific info on its release date was not available before.

However, now we know that T-Mobile is aiming at bringing the new device on shelves on July 27th, and that it would have it available for $199.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

At the same time, the wireless carrier announced that it would be kicking off a special online pre-sale for the new device, and that those interested in it will be able to purchase it starting with July 19th.

The smartphone comes with Google's Android operating system, and was manufactured by HTC, the same as with other handsets in the carrier's myTouch series.

The new T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide was unveiled with a sliding design and with support for the wireless carrier's HSPA+ network, while running under the latest flavor of Google's Android operating system.

The smartphone comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen display on the front, with support for a WVGA resolution, and with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon application processor packed inside, capable of offering increased performance capabilities.

The specifications list of the new device also includes a full QWERTY keyboard, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, and the like.

HTC also packed the new handset with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for 1080p video recording. The wireless carrier claims that this is the most advanced camera any smartphone in the world would include.

On top of Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the new smartphone features the HTC Sense 3.0 user interface. You can see the handset on T-Mobile's website here.
