Now that she’s clean and sober, Lindsay Lohan is able to admit that it was her entourage that pushed her to the edge a while back and into the substance abuse that almost cost her her life. The LA party scene also played an important part in her life spiraling out of control, which is why she might actually be moving to the UK, as she hints on Twitter.

Lindsay is one of the few celebrities to constantly update her Twitter page with everything that is going on in her life, a habit she picked up a while back. As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she also announced her decision to move to the UK (if that’s what it is) using the same channel, though media outlets in Britain are shocked by its timing.

“Moving to the UK is in my near future*” Lindsay writes. She then explains that partly responsible for her decision are the “better dj’s/music and Paris is just a Chunnel away!” As noted above, while the tweet might be in jest, the British media (the gossip tabs at the very least) is already freaking out over it, with headlines like “Look out!” and “Beware!” already in print. As of now, for all the world knows, Lindsay could have been joking.

In a recent interview, the actress described her crazy lifestyle and how it spun out of control once she got mixed up with the wrong people. She’s now sober and off drugs, she said, which only makes her more appreciative of what she almost lost. She is certain she was going to die if she kept up living at the rate she did, she also revealed, even adding that she was determined to use her own example to show other young people the error of their way.

“When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn’t the answer to my problems. I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine, and mind-altering substances. Now I’m in a place where I don’t need to use anything and I feel emotions because I choose to. I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. I’ve made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them – that has probably saved my life,” Lindsay said, as we also informed you at the time.
