Mobile phone maker Motorola has just released a new handset in collaboration with Ferrari, namely the Motorola i9 Ferrari, which is now available via Nextel Brazil. The new mobile phone can be purchased from the carrier for a price tag of R$1,199 (about $688), and users can enjoy both the Ferrari logo engraved on its case and a series of Ferrari wallpapers packed inside the new mobile phone.

In addition to these special features, it seems that the new Motorola i9 Ferrari also includes a series of Ferrari screensavers, as well as an array of ringtones that mimic the engine sound of some Ferrari cars, including the F40, F50 and Enzo. All in all, the new iDEN handset, which sports a flip form factor, seems to be one of the nicest phones of the kind available on the market at the moment.

The Motorola i9 Ferrari also comes to the market with two QVGA displays, with touch capabilities (the exterior one delivers fast access to contacts, messages, music player, photo and video files), as well as with a 3.1 megapixel photo snapper with built-in flash and auto focus.

In addition, the device also includes external illuminated keys, built-in GPS receiver, push-to-talk capabilities, Bluetooth connectivity, the ModeShift Morphing technology from Motorola, and a microSD memory card slot for up to 8 GB of additional storage space, with a 2GB memory card included in the package.

It should also be noted that the new Motorola i9 Ferrari is a special edition of the Motorola Stature, which is already available for purchase on the United States market, via wireless carrier Sprint and its subsidiary Boost Mobile. The Motorola Stature i9, in case you might not remember, was officially introduced by its maker at the beginning of February, and was launched on the market by the end of that month.
