Officially announced at the beginning of May, Motorola XPRT is expected to be launched on June 5th via Sprint for $129.99 with a new two-year service agreement.

It appears that the Motorola XPRT is Sprint's own branded version of the Motorola Droid Pro and was originally thought to be delivered with Android 2.2 (Froyo) on board.

However, according to the guys over at AndroidSpin, Motorola decided to update the XPRT to Android 2.3.3 with Motoblur ahead of its launch.

The reason behind Motorola's decision seems to be the fact that the DROID Pro already received the same software update.

Motorola XPRT is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP3620-1000 processor and features a rather small 3.1-inch HVGA multi-touch screen with 16 million colors support and 320 x 480 pixel resolution.

Motorola XPRT and Motorola Titanium blend feature-packed consumer experiences with an optimal set of productivity and security tools,” said Jeff Miller, corporate vice president of sales, Motorola Mobility at launch.   “We are pleased to partner with Sprint to deliver each of these unique business-ready devices to their continuously growing enterprise customer base.”

In addition to the portrait QWERTY keyboard, the device also packs features such as touch-sensitive controls, multi-touch input method, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, proximity sensor for auto- turn-off.

As a business phone Motorola XPRT features 256-bit AES data encryption and the ability to remotely handle functions like enabling pin or password lock, password recovery and data wipe on both the phone and SD card if lost or stolen.

It sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, as well as video recording capabilities.

The XPRT embeds 512 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM and 8 GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB card included).

The phone's 1860 mAh Li-Ion battery should last for up to 380 hours in standby mode or up to 9 hours of talk time.
