US-based Motorola introduced its full range of XOOM 2 products in all Nordic countries. Today, the handset maker announced the immediate availability of XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition tablets in Sweden.

Built on the success of the Motorola XOOM, both tablets are expected to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates in the following months.

Until then users are stuck on Android 3.2 Honeycomb platform, which offers enough features to make them worth the while.

However, if Motorola doesn't deploy the promised ICS update faster, its XOOM 2 tablets won't be selling to strong competition from Samsung.

The latter has just released two Galaxy Tab 2 slates, which are powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and are priced much cheaper than Motorola's second-generation XOOM tablets.

Anyway, Motorola fans living in Sweden can now purchase either of the two tablets via El-Giganten brick-and-mortar store for the following prices:

- Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition - Wi-Fi variant - from 3595 SEK (505 USD or 395 EUR); - Motorola XOOM 2 - Wi-Fi variant - from 3595 SEK (505 USD or 395 EUR); - Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition - Wi-Fi & 3G variant - from 4395 SEK (615 USD or 485 EUR); - Motorola XOOM 2 - Wi-Fi & 3G variant - from 4795 SEK (670 USD to 525 EUR).

Hardware-wise, each tablet is equipped with dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which are complemented by 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit.

For the time being, only the 16GB models are available in Sweden, but users will be able to expand the storage amount up to 32GB via microSD card.

It is also worth mentioning that Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition are packed with dual cameras, 5-megapixel main photo snapper with autofocus and LED flash, and secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for self-portraits and video chats.
