Nextel and Motorola have just announced the availability the Motorola TITANIUM in Mexico starting this week.

According to Nextel, TITANIUM is the most powerful device added to its offer that provides users with both worlds, a touchscreen display and a full portrait QWERTY keyboard.

In addition, the smartphone will be delivered with Nextel Email capability and the exclusive Nextel radio functionality.

With the Nextel Email business application, users will be able to send and receive corporate e-mail messages using PUSH technology.

The application works like an email client and supports calendar and contacts synchronization with Microsoft Exchange server.

Unfortunately, Motorola TITANIUM only offers users the limitations of Google's Android 2.1 (Eclair) platform, which might be upgraded sometime in the distant future.

We want to offer our users a completely different and unique device that can really make a difference when it comes to communication. We know there are many different devices with easy-to-use valuable applications; however, the new Motorola TITANIUM is in our Smartradio portfolio that offers users a real added value – Nextel’s radio characteristic instant and secure communication capability,” said Carlos Ortega, communications director, Nextel Mexico.

Furthermore, the TITANIUM comes with 3.1-inch HGVA capacitive touchscreen display and offers users access to over 250,000 downloadable applications via Android Market.

Motorola TITANIUM also features a 5-megapixel camera with video capture, flash, autofocus, and 4x digital zoom, stereo Bluetooth, and GPS-based browsing.

The phone packs 512MB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

At Motorola, we are proud to introduce Motorola TITANIUM, it is the first device in its class to integrate various communication types – e-mail and the Internet, radio and telephony. That is precisely how our joint offer becomes smarter,” said Vince García, iDEN director, Motorola Mexico.

According to the manufacturer, the device's 1820 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 10 days of standby time.
