Today, mobile phone maker Motorola has made official the full changelog for the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade for the DROID RAZR / DROID RAZR MAXX smartphones on Verizon’s network, so as to provide users with specific info on what the software will provide them with.

The new upgrade will land on handsets as version 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US and will deliver a nice range of enhancements and improvements, the company announced.

No specific info on when the update starts arriving on all devices out there has been provided, but the company has already started a soak test for its deployment, and it should not be too long before a general release schedule is unveiled.

Following the update to Android 4.1.2, users will be able to take advantage of features such as Google Now, the Chrome Browser, Camera enhancements such as Panorama Mode, and Enhanced Voice Search capabilities, meant to recognize questions asked in colloquial language.

Furthermore, the platform upgrade also provides users with a better gallery app, now with filmstrip mode, as well as with an enhanced directly notifications shade with support for actions on some notifications. There is also support for mobile hotspot for improved performance.

Additionally, the update comes with a nice range of fixes to the smartphone, including:

- Quick Office - Resolved random instances of Quick Office closing when reviewing a document. - Outlook Sync - Faster updates to MS Outlook email & calendar - 3G & 4G Connectivity - Improved voice and data connectivity quality, reducing instances of losing 3G and 4G services. - Google Maps - Reduced time needed to access GPS signal. - Audio Settings - Easier to find and edit Audio Effects settings through the music player. - Music Playlists` - More easily create a music playlist using on-device music player - Contacts - Contacts will sync more often, eliminating the need to wait for manual or nighttime sync. - Global Roaming - Improved GSM roaming connectivity for global use.

Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will also bring along a series of changes to the default applications on Motorola's DROID RAZR / DROID RAZR MAXX, by removing a great deal of Motorola’s apps and widgets, and replacing some of them with Google’s apps for Android.

As Droid-life notes, specific info on the update can be found on this page on Motorola’s website. The company notes that users should make sure that the phone’s battery is charged at least at 50% before proceeding with the update, and that they won’t be able to go back to Android 4.0.4 when the process has been completed.
