One week after Motorola debuted the RAZR in Poland, the company comes forward with yet another Android smartphone, the FIRE XT.

However, while the Motorola RAZR is the company’s Android flagship smartphone, the FIRE XT is aimed at users with low budgets.

Unfortunately, the handset maker did not reveal the phone’s release date or price options, but confirms it will arrive in stores today.

Although the FIRE XT is not among the rugged smartphones offered by Motorola, it delivers the same solid and compact feeling courtesy to the dark titanium chassis.

The phone is the perfect choice for customers who never used an Android smartphone before and want to stay connected with their friends and family via social networking services, while on the move.

Motorola FIRE XT comes with a large 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Software-wise, the FIRE XT is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Moto Switch user interface on top. In addition, it comes pre-loaded with Qik Video Connect and Qik app that enables users to make video calls via the VGA front facing camera.

Smartphones have become integral, personal parts of users’ lives – that’s why it's so important that they offer access to the entertainment and practical features. Motorola FIRE XT is an affordable device that gives users everything they want from a top-quality smartphone,” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz, head of marketing Central Europe, Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility.

With Moto Switch user interface users can change between personal and work modes, or customize their phones even further.

There’s also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. According to Motorola, the FIRE XT has best-in-class battery life, allowing users to talk for up to 8 hours or have no less than 28 days of standby in 3G mode.
