Recently introduced in India, Motorola FIRE XT is about to make its debut in Italy as well. The budget-friendly Android smartphone will be available from the end of November for 200 EUR (285 USD) outright.

The FIRE XT is powered by Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread platform with Moto Switch (ex MOTOBLUR) user interface on top.

For those unfamiliar with Motorola's proprietary UI, Moto Switch  UI offers a range of customization options that allows users to switch between friend and work-centric modes.

Users also have access to more than 250,000 apps from Android Market, as well as Google's suite of apps and service, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk and more.

Smartphones have become integral, personal parts of users’ lives – that’s why Motorola believes they should be fun, fashionable and feature-packed. Motorola FIRE XT is an affordable device that gives younger, fast-moving users everything they want from a top-quality smartphone,” said Paolo Prearo, general manager Mobile Devices Business, Motorola Mobility Italia.

On the back, the handset features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities, which allows users top capture and share their most precious moments.

In addition, the phone comes pre-loaded with Qik Video Connect that provides users with the option to create videos and share them with friends in real-time.

Given the fact that FIRE XT features a secondary VGA front-facing camera, the Qik app can also be used for video chatting.

On the inside, the phone is equipped with an 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7227T-1 processor, an Adreno 200 graphics processing unit, 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

According to Motorola, the FIRE XT has best-in-class battery life, allowing users to talk for up to 8 hours or have 28 days of standby in 3G mode.
