The smartphone is expected to arrive in stores November

The European version of Motorola FIRE has just been introduced in Greece and is expected to hit shelves sometime this month. The handset maker has yet to announce the smartphone's price.

Motorola FIRE is a budget-friendly Android phone that offers both worlds by combining a traditional QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8-inch touchscreen.

Aimed at traditional texters, Motorola FIRE is a social media hub that offers users complete customization options via Android platform.

Introduced by Motorola Mobility Hellas, the handset features a slim, stylish design and a modern finish that makes it more appealing than other smartphone in the same price range.

Aside its QVGA 2.8-inch touchscreen that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution, Motorola FIRE comes with the usual ambient light sensor, accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and proximity sensor for auto turn-off.

In addition, the smartphone is pre-loaded with the Moto Switch user interface, which allows users to switch between personal and work modes.

Although the FIRE is an entry-level handset, the smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and packs 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the inside, the phone is equipped with a low-performance 600 MHz CPU and an old Adreno 200 graphics processing unit.

There's also a 3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, an FM radio with RDS support, Wi-Fi, E-compass, proximity sensor, and GPS with aGPS support.

According to Motorola, the FIRE comes with “best-in-class” battery life provided by a high-capacity 1420mAh battery, which is rated for up to 8 hours of talk time or 30 days of standby in 3G mode.
