Shortly after Motorola DROID RAZR was officially introduced, the smartphone was spotted at FCC (Federal Communication Commission), which indicates the device will soon hit shelves.

Verizon Wireless already confirmed it will take pre-orders for the DROID RAZR beginning October 27, but no exact release date has been disclosed yet.

According to FCC filings, Motorola DROID RAZR supports Verizon Wireless' CDMA, EVDO and LTE networks, as well as global GSM 800 / 1900 and WCDMA II and V bands.

The guys over at Engadget also discovered within the FCC filings that “this device supports voice call functionality over GSM and WCDMA on non-US cellular networks.”

Although U.S. carriers will not be using the global bands tested by FCC, it looks like the DROID RAZR will be one of the first LTE smartphone to feature global GSM roaming.

Rumor has it that Motorola DROID RAZR will be available at Verizon on November 10 for $299.99 (about 217 EUR) with a new two-year agreement.

Given the fact that the smartphone is delivered with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread at launch, instead of the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) as the Galaxy Nexus, might have a negative impact on its sales.

Another thing that Motorola needs to worry about is the fact that Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to arrive in stores in November as well.

However, Google and Motorola may roll out an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Motorola RAZR sooner than expected, especially if sales are lower than expected.

In this regard, Google already confirmed that the Nexus S smartphone, which is aimed at developers, will be the first to receive the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) upgrade.

Touted the world's thinnest 4G LTE smartphone, Motorola DROID RAZR comes with a brilliant 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen display.

The phone is equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor and a PowerVR SGX540 graphics processing unit.
