Although Motorola officially introduced the RAZR MAXX in the UK about a week ago, the smartphone won’t make it to the market until mid-May.

Today, the US-based handset maker confirmed once again that Motorola RAZR MAXX would be available for purchase beginning mid-May. However, this time Motorola announced the upcoming availability of RAZR MAXX in Denmark.

No word on the phone’s price tag yet, but Motorola mentions that “customers in Denmark are expected to be able to start talking, texting, typing, watching and more for even longer using this Android-powered device from mid-May 2012.”

Motorola RAZR MAXX will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, but the company promises that an OTA (over the air) update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be deployed in Q2 2012.

The smartphone will come pre-loaded with Motorola MotoCast app, allowing users to stream or download content from a computer directly to the device. GoToMeeting and QuickOffice productivity applications will be included as well.

The RAZR MAXX comes with the same hardware configuration as the popular Motorola RAZR with one exception, which is also the main selling point of the smartphone.

The former is powered by a high-capacity 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery, rated by the manufacturer for up to 607 hours of standby time or up to 17.6 hours of talk time.

The rest of the specs are the same, including the 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display.

Since we re-imagined the iconic RAZR brand, the Motorola RAZR has wowed consumers across the globe by combining the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power. RAZR MAXX builds on those same principles, delivering an incredible battery life that is perfect for Danish consumers who want to push their smartphone to the limits and banish the low battery beep to history,” said Victoria McManus, UK and Nordics marketing director, Motorola Mobility.
