Motorola has just announced the upcoming availability of ATRIX TV in Brazil. At first glance one may think that this another version of Motorola ATRIX, but the phone looks different and has different specs.

The ATRIX TV basically the mid-budget Motorola MOTOLUXE Android phone. According to Motorola the smartphone will go on sale in Brazil starting next week for 500 USD (400 EUR).

Motorola ATRIX TV, also known as MOTOLUXE, is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system integrated with MotoSwitch user interface.

However, in addition to the benefits of a traditional smartphone, Brazilian customers who purchase the ATRIX TV will be able to watch live, crystal-clear TV directly on their phone while on the move.

The smarpthone is pretty slim at 9.9mm and features a large 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution.

Another strong point of the device is the impressive 8-megapixel rear photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and camcorder. There's also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Just like the MOTOLUXE, Motorola ATRIX TV has a lanyard slot with lighting effect so users can see when they missed a call, received a text or have an email waiting for them.

Hardware-wise, the ATRIX TV packs a single core processor clocked at 800 MHz, an Adreno 200 GPU, 1GB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In the connectivity front, the handset offers users a wide range of options, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, DLNA, Wi-Fi Hotspot and HSDPA (7.2Mbps).

Motorola ATRIX TV delivers entertainment to people in a way very few have experienced. With Motorola ATRIXTV, you can watch all of your favorite TV shows on-the-go, and stay connected to the people and things that matter most in your life, on one super-stylish smartphone,” said Edson Bortolli, products director for mobile devices, Motorola Mobility Brazil.
