Video game publisher Capcom has announced that enthusiasts of racing on two wheels can look forward to the release of MotoGP 10/11 on March 15 in North America, just a few days before the actual real world championship begins in Qatar.

Capcom has only so far confirmed the date for the PlayStation 3 version of its game, but the version of the Xbox 360 should arrive at the same time.

No PC edition for MotoGP 10/11 has been planned.

The new game is being developed by Monumental and has a lot of improvements over last year's version, mainly a handling system that is closer to real world racing and also more accessible for players.

The physics has also been improved in order to closely mimic the pressure that racers need to deal with in real races, making corners tougher to get around.

Monumental is also adding a set of features designed to assist the player, with various options that can be tweaked to select a comfortable level of challenge that ranges from arcade to tough simulation.

Hardcore gamers are able to turn off the system entirely in order to get an experience that is as tough as getting on a bike in the real world, without the physical or financial requirements for it.

Another innovation is that Monumental has implemented cooperative play for the Career mode of the game, with local split screen used so that two players can see who is the fastest in each race.

Moto GP 10/11 also includes modes like Time Trial and Championship while the online racing component includes support for up to 20 players.

Capcom is also promising that as soon as the MotoGP championship begins, it will be offering updates for the game, aiming to keep the in-game situation as close as possible to real life.
