Present on the recently leaked roadmap

It seems that T-Mobile will start offering another Android-powered mobile phone this fall, besides the Samsung Houdini that was spotted yesterday, namely the G1 v2 Bigfoot. While yesterday the box on the company's roadmap that showed the phone was covered in black, today we can see the device in all its splendor, set for release in the same time frame as the Houdini.

Though the codename for the device might look a little strange (and the same applies to the Samsung model), it seems that the phone is somehow legit, while its mockup shows a handset resembling the Helio Ocean 2. What the G1 v2 Bigfoot should bring to users includes a sliding QWERTY keypad, as well as rounded corners.

The same as with Samsung Houdini, there are no further details on the G1 v2 Bigfoot for the time being, though more will probably surface in the near future, both in what concerns the specification list of the phone, as well as regarding the exact availability or price tag it is expected to bear.

In the meantime, this summer we will be able to witness the launch of the carrier's second Android-based handset, the HTC Sapphire, which went live in Europe as the HTC Magic, though no exact details on the name it will have with T-Mobile have been unveiled until now.

While the leaked roadmap shows it as G2, recent rumors would suggest that the operator might actually name it MyTouch 3G. It seems that a screenshot of T-Mobile USA's internal inventory system has recently surfaced into the wild, and it shows the HTC T-Mobile MyTouch 3G as coming to the shelves in three color variants, namely black, white, and merlot. Given the fact that these are not the first rumors concerning the branding of T-Mobile's second Android phone, we're still waiting for an official word to learn its actual name.
