Many ingenious projects have found the support needed on the world's most popular crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, and some of them surpassed their funding goal by over 1,000 percent.

With today's latest technological advancements, smartphones are packing more features than ever before, allowing the manufacturer to integrate high-quality cameras that sometimes manage to surpass the image quality offered by various compact cameras.

Although powerful, smartphone cameras are also limited when it comes to features like optical zoom, wide-angle, or telephoto capabilities. To address this issue, Marc Barros has started a new Kickstarter project, called Moment, that aims to bring high-quality lenses for iPhone, iPad, and Samsung Galaxy S smartphones.

For now, there are only two Moment lenses planned to reach mass production (Moment Wide and Moment Tele) as soon as the campaign ends. The Moment Wide lens is basically a wide-angle optic that comes with a 18mm focal length on the iPhone and 19mm on the Galaxy S.

On the other hand, Moment Tele is a telephoto lens that has a 58mm focal length on compatible iPhones and 62mm on the Samsung Galaxy S. Both lenses can be attached to your smartphone using a thin metal plate that allows you to twist the lens into place.

Both Wide and Tele Moment lenses are compatible with iPhone 4S, 5, 5s and 5c; iPad 2, 3rd-gen, and 4th-gen; Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, and S4. The lenses are quite small in size and can easily fit in your pocket, backpack, or purse.

The campaign just started, but it has already been funded with over $84,000 (€61,737) pledged and 29 days to go. If you want to get your own pair of Moment lenses, you should head to the project's Kickstarter page where, for $99 (€73) or more, you can receive both wide and tele lenses as soon as they are available.
