Mobilicity has just announced the availability of the BlackBerry Torch 9810 for only $500 (375 EUR) off-contract, while most Canadian carriers are selling the smartphone for prices ranging between $550 and $600.

Potential customers should know that the smartphone has yet to make on the carrier’s site, but Mobilicity confirms that Torch 9810 can be purchased at its stores across the country.

In addition, Mobilicity announced a promo offer on its regular monthly rate plans and $10 data and $5 BlackBerry Internet Service add-ons, which will be available, for a limited time, for 50% off for up to a year.

Showcased earlier this year at IFA 2011, BlackBerry Torch 9810 offers users the best of both worlds. The phone comes with a brilliant 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 640 pixels resolution, as well as a traditional portrait QWERTY keyboard.

The phone follows the same design line of its Torch 9800 predecessor, but comes with improved hardware and software, as well as new features.

Those unfamiliar with the smartphone’s specs sheet should know that the Torch 9810 is equipped with a 1.2GHz processor and packs 8GB onboard memory, 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, there’s a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash that can record 720p high-definition (HD) video.

With BlackBerry 7 operating system, the smartphone provides users with a fast and smooth Internet browsing and gaming experiences.

Aside its business features, BlackBerry Torch 9810 provides deep social networking integration via multiple apps, including Social Feeds, Facebook and Twitter.

It also comes with a range of pre-loaded apps and integrated functionality for increased productivity, such as the Premium version of Documents To Go (available for free), a native PDF document viewer, BlackBerry Protect and BlackBerry Balance.
