Mobilicity has just announced that one of the best BlackBerry 7 smartphones, Bold 9900 is now available for purchase.

The carrier tweeted the confirmation just moments ago, but the phone has yet to show up online or in-stores: “Today is the day you've been waiting for, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is now available @Mobilicity.”

Although BlackBerry Bold was unveiled earlier this spring, Research in Motion came forward with the phone's full specs sheet in August when the phone was announced along with Torch 9810 and Torch 9860.

Mobilicity is one of the last carriers to offer the Bold 9900, but better late than never. Still, customers may be in for a nice surprise if the operator tags it with an exceptional price.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 made quite an appearance at this year's IFA trade fair as well. Softpedia had the chance to play a bit with the smartphone and we even made a short video showing the Bold 9900 in action.

Aside BlackBerry 7 operating system, the smartphone is delivered with a single core 1.2GHz QC 8655 processor and NFC (Near Field Communications) support.

In addition, the device packs 8GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Bold 9900 smartphone features a small 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors and 640 x 480 pixels resolution.

Other highlights of the phone include: proximity sensor for auto turn-off, HSDPA and HSUPA, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as built-in GPS receiver (BlackBerry Maps).

BlackBerry Bold 9900 drains energy from a 1230 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 307 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours and 30 minutes (6 hours for 3G mode) of talk time.
