Model says she’s not engaged

When Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr met Hollywood superstar Orlando Bloom in late 2007 and then the two started dating, the tabloids somehow knew they would have a field day with wedding rumors on the couple. As a proof, speculation of two tying the knot has not ceased to make the rounds both in tabs and in the blogosphere, with some outlets even claiming Bloom has given the model an ultimatum in this sense. As it happens, that’s not necessarily the truth, Kerr says, as quoted by SawfNews.

The supermodel is currently in Australia, promoting major retailer David Jones, and marriage is the last thing on her mind, she has told reporters in between questions focused on her latest campaign. Talk of Bloom walking out on the fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” film just to spend more time with her and of the actor giving her an ultimatum as to her indecision to make a more serious commitment is rubbish, the gorgeous 26-year-old star says.

“What a load of baloney – as if anyone would do that.” Kerr said when asked whether there was any truth to the rumor that Bloom had threatened to walk out on her if she did not accept his next marriage proposal. As for Orlando leaving the “Pirates” franchise so that he could be more with her, that too was false, Kerr added. “As if that would ever happen, or as if I would allow that to happen.” the model explained. “I’m not engaged. I want to put a stop to that rumor.” Kerr concluded by saying.

As we also reported a while back, word in the industry has it that Orlando Bloom has officially left the “Pirates” franchise and will not be resuming his part in the fourth installment, just like neither will British actress Keira Knightley. While Knightley made it clear in several interviews that she had gotten the best out of “Pirates” and was looking for different challenges in the future, no one seems to know why Bloom too decided to leave.

This prompted speculation that he may have done so in order to have more time for his personal life, since shooting for “Pirates” would have meant he be away on location for the better part of a year. Since he had plans of marrying and settling down, he chose Miranda Kerr instead, a recent report said.
