Since most of the people who carry around an iPhone also have a rather serious wallet to go with (these things don't come cheap, after all), the people over at TRTL BOT have come up with a rather interesting iPhone 4 case design, that actually doubles as a money holder. Called the Minimalist 4, the case is marketed as an “alternative to bulky wallets and bulging handbags”, given the fact that it combines the protection of a case and the capability of a money holder, allowing users to carry up to three id/credit cards with their smartphone. Designed and manufactured in the Los Angeles area using recycled plastic, the white Minimalist 4 is similar to its predecessor, the Minimalist 4 and TRTL Stand 4, containing at least 1 plastic water bottle per case (which makes it quite an interesting choice for the fans of all things eco-friendly and “green”). Furthermore, TRTL BOT blends minimalistic design with simple practicality, both represented in the white color of the case. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, over 2.4 million tons of plastic bottles and jars were disposed of in 2008,” stated Peter Gloria, president of TRTL BOT. “We believe that style, functionality and eco-friendliness can go hand in hand. Let’s do something to save the planet.” Of course, saving the planet with the help of TRTL BOT doesn't come free, users still having to cough up a few US dollars in order to get their hands on the Minimalist cases, but, then again, these are the rules of the market, no matter how eco-conscious a company might be. So, both the white and black Minimalist 4 and the TRTL Stand 4 are currently available for $34.99, and, as a special treat for iPhone 3G/3GS users, a Minimalist 3G/3GS is also available in black or white for $24.99.
