While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have vouched never to get married until everyone else can do so legally regardless of orientation, Miley Cyrus has opted for a slightly more painful token of her dedication to the cause: a new tattoo.

Now back on Twitter, Miley has recently become a very loud supporter of gay rights. Proof of that is also her brand new tattoo, her seventh to date.

“I am Christian and I love you – gay or not,” Miley once wrote. Putting her money where her mouth is, she got the equal sign inked on her ring finger – what better way is there to show your support for marriage equality.

“All LOVE is equal,” she wrote in a tweet to the photo of her latest tattoo.

Later on, she returned to respond to one of her fans criticizing her for her stance on gay rights. One shouldn’t be so quick to judge, Miley wrote.

“Where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t. GOD is the only judge honey. ‘GOD is love’,” the singer tweeted.

Perhaps because the fan in question started getting some abuse from the community later on, Miley returned to urge them to let the fan be because everyone is entitled to their opinion.

In May this year, Miley was again getting some work done: while in Brazil on tour, she posted a photo of herself getting a new tattoo on her wrist, as we also reported at the time.

While her other five pieces have been well documented in paparazzi shots, this one remains a mystery: the photo tweeted by Miley only showed her making faces while she was getting the ink, it didn’t offer a single glimpse of it.

As we also noted on several occasions, throughout the years, Miley’s tattoo “collection” has been expanding: she also has a love heart on her little finger, “Just Breathe” on her ribcage, underneath her breast, “Love” on the inside of her ear, a dreamcatcher on her ribcage, on the side, and a small cross.
