“It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed,” she says

Miley Cyrus is getting ready to come out with a new music album and, to promote it, she’s opening up to the media a bit about her love life as well. She’s now the cover girl of the latest issue of Elle UK Magazine.

The same issue also features a gorgeous spread with the singer / actress, together with an interview on how Miley is much more private these days and no longer feels the need to overshare on social media.

As was to be expected following the countless rumors that she and beau Liam Hemsworth have put the wedding off because they can’t seem to see eye to eye anymore, she also touches on the topic of her love life.

“We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it anymore,” Miley tells Elle.

She’s referring to those days when she’d document her and Liam’s every move on Twitter or on Instagram, a mistake she promises not to repeat.

She’s learned her lesson.

“We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight — into my life and my puppies and my house – and I just don’t feel they get that privilege any more. Like on my Twitter, I’m much more... not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. You don’t get that personal stuff anymore,” Miley says.

Indeed, her Twitter feed isn’t as revealing as it once was. As rumors of trouble in Paradise for her and Liam started making the rounds, Miley promised she would only use Twitter to promote her music and, so far, she’s been able to keep her promise, more or less.

Life in the spotlight for Miley is like a gilded cage, she goes on to say. She imagines herself as some sort of modern Rapunzel (“Rapunzel with a mohawk!”), living in the enchanted world of Tinseltown.

“This isn’t like any other place. Everything is meant to be attractive, from the people on the sidewalks to the gold fire hydrants in Beverly Hills,” she says of Hollywood.

Speaking of attractive, her spread for Elle is just that: beautiful but edgy.
