14 DAY TRIAL // Kelly Osbourne threw a birthday party for Miley Cyrus, who turned 19 last week. At the party, there were some jokes about her bong smoking video of last year and, as it happens, there were also people taping everything and then selling it to the media.
During a brief speech during the celebration, Miley took the mic to thank the friends who had come out to party with her on her 19th birthday.
She also took the time to joke about reports that she smoked weed on a regular basis, basically saying that she was a “pothead” and a “stoner,” as the video below will show.
"You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much [expletive]-ing weed,” Miley said, giggling.
Kelly took the microphone from her hand to say, “I thought salvia was your problem,” referring to a video that leaked online one year ago, showing Miley smoking a bong with friends.
At the time, she said she wasn't smoking pot but salvia.
While it's clear from the clip that she's joking or, at least, not deliberately setting out to make a statement on her lifestyle, many were outraged to hear Miley speak on the issue.
Her good friend Kelly took to her Twitter to put them in their place, by pointing out that's practically impossible for Miley to be a stoner when she has so much work to do.
People need to think before they jump to conclusions, she says.
“let me make something very clear after @MileyCyrus salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE! the cake was also A JOKE! it makes me sick that @MileyCyrus so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not! ” Kelly vents on the social networking website.
“u guys if @MileyCyrus is not recording/filming/touring she is works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think” she adds.
