Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino wants $100,000 just to show up at a party

Earlier this year, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino promised that his role on Jersey Shore was just the beginning for him. Now, also thanks to his stint on Dancing With the Stars, he’s asking for $100,000 for a single appearance, it has emerged.

Earlier reports had it that The Sitch was in such high demand he could literally stand to make about $5 million in what’s left of this calendar year – and it would seem he’s actually en route to such an achievement.

One organizer is telling E! Online he wanted to book the reality star for a party in LA but was stunned to hear his going rate, which is so incredibly high he had no other choice but to reconsider his initial intention.

“Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is trying to make some extra cash - and a lot of it - while in Los Angeles doing Dancing With the Stars,” E! reports.

“The Jersey Shore star is now asking $100,000 to appear at Hollywood parties, according to an event organizer who turned him down for a recent gig,” the same report says.

“We didn't feel he was a good fit for our brand. Plus, that was just too much money!” the event organizer dishes for the same media outlet.

Even if The Situation didn’t get the kind of money he’s asking for this time, chances are other organizers will consider it a wise investment and fork over the required amount, word has it.

As a fun fact, to get Sorrentino to show up at a party or even to host it was no more than $7,500 during the first season of “Jersey Shore,” now officially MTV’s biggest reality show in years.

What with a blooming rap career, his first endeavors as a fashion designer and, more recently, his appearance on ABC’s DWTS, it would seem The Sitch has come a long way.
