Win a year's worth of pizza

Racing games are quite popular these days, as the thrills of roaring down a city street with high speed, against other opponents just like you is very exhilarating, even though they have more negative effects than shooters, for example.

But even if it is a popular genre, a lot of titles remain under the radar of many gamers. That is why their developers and publishers try different partnerships and marketing maneuvers to get people interested in them. That is the case with Rockstar, which, in order to promote its South Central DLC pack for Midnight Club: Los Angeles, has launched a competition sponsored by Pizza Hut.

That's right, illegal races down the streets of South Central LA are certainly something to be branded with the famous restaurant franchise. The Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central Pizza Hut Showdown will offer a year's worth of free pizza to the winners, translating into a 599-dollar worth of gift certificates that will guarantee a pizza for each week of the year.

All you need to do in order to get your hands, or rather your mouth, on the grand prize is to download the South Central DLC and complete each of the races with the fastest time. You will then be able to post said time on the online leaderboards, starting with April 14. More details can be found on the official website of the event here.

All in all, this is a very interesting marketing stunt, which will make one racer extremely happy and, ultimately, tired of eating pizza for one year. Until the contest begins, though, better start practicing on the streets of South Central LA.
