Not only does Microsoft hire good people, they also scour the Earth for talent. In their latest search for talented workers, they've concentrated recruitment practices in India (it wouldn't be the first time).

Microsoft chairman and chief software architect Bill Gates today launched a nationwide talent hunt in India to identify India's best student technologists called the "Code 4 Bill."

Microsoft said that India is the first country in which students "get this opportunity to learn cutting edge product development and innovations that are powering the world by working directly with Microsoft's Product Development and Research teams."

Gates added that "talent is what powers the success of the global IT economy today. Indian students are setting high standards in the industry. Its very important for India to maintain this edge, and continue to nurture and develop students so they can drive India's progress as an IT leader."

This talent search is said to be spread over an eight month period that will comprise of a variety of stages. It will test technical know-how and analytical skills through different challenges. Some of these challenges even include face-to-face interviews with technical teams.

With this step, the Microsoft Corporation will jumpstart competition with juniors in India. Although one cannot say that this is the first time Microsoft is taking advantage of the resources India has to offer.
