14 DAY TRIAL // Nokia looks to bring new digital entertainment solutions for the users of their devices with the help of the Microsoft PlayReady technology. Nokia S60 and Series 40 users will benefit from this new release and have the chance of using much simplified techniques for accessing, experiencing and moving digital content on their mobile phones.
Nokia looks to offer its users more accessible handling of digital content with the help of PlayReady. They will be able from now on to transfer this information from one device to another, any time and easily. Moreover, they will be able to rent the content and use it even when offline.
"By adding support for Microsoft PlayReady technology, we are enabling service providers to offer a wide range of content and create truly compelling experiences across mobile devices, personal computers and online services. We plan to support PlayReady across a range of S60 and Series 40 devices starting in 2008", said Ilkka Raiskinen, senior vice president of Multimedia Experiences at Nokia.

Moreover, "Through our collaboration with Nokia, we aim to deliver a compelling platform that offers consumers seamless access to virtually any type of digital content they want.", Amir Majidimehr further declared.
Microsoft PlayReady will work on a wide range of business models and will be able to handle a wide range of digital content. Whether it is music, video, games, image and many other options, it will try to respond to the needs of mobile operators, service providers and device manufacturers.
The technology will be available for everyone to download in a PlayReady Porting Kit starting August this year. The first services using this technology will be available at the beginning of next year.
