Canadian wireless carrier Bell announced on Monday the launch of the MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot from Novatel Wireless, an award winning device that will enable users to enjoy Wi-Fi connectivity on the carrier's network for a number of up to five devices. According to Bell, the new MiFi 2372 comes with support for its HSPA network, and creates a personal Wi-Fi hotspot for those who need connectivity to more than a single device at the same time.

“Bell Mobility continues to introduce innovative wireless devices that increase productivity by delivering fast and reliable mobile Internet access,” said Adel Bazerghi, senior vice president of Products at Bell Mobility. “We're excited to be the first wireless provider to introduce Canadians to the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot and the convenience of portable Wi-Fi access.”

The MiFi Mobile Intelligent Hotspot is a platform that already won a series of awards during the ongoing year, among which we can count the CTIA Hot for the Holidays Award and the Plus X Award in Technology for Innovation & Ease of Use. Moreover, the device was ranked second in the list of BestTravel Gadgets of 2009 by Time Magazine.

“We're pleased to partner with Bell Mobility to launch the first commercial MiFi 2372 platform in North America,” said Rob Hadley, chief marketing officer for Novatel Wireless. “With the MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, Bell Mobility is providing its clients with unrivaled high speed Internet access virtually anywhere they work or play.” The MiFi 2372 features a compact design, and can prove a great option when dealing with video streaming and online gaming, and it also comes with a microSD memory card slot that offers support for up to 16GB of additional memory space. At the same time, the device is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, can deliver download speeds up to 7.2 megabits per second, and can offer connectivity to a number of up to five users that are located on a range of 30 feet from the device.

According to Bell, its users can enjoy the capabilities of the new Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot for a price of $99.95 on a three-year contract. Additionally, the device is also available for purchase without a contract, in which case it will cost $249.95.
