Konami has brought forth new details concerning its upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD collection that includes some of the most important games in the company's long running series, like the fact that the first two Metal Gear games for the MSX will be included withing.

Fans of Konami and Japanese games creator Hideo Kojima were thrilled to hear that a special Metal Gear Solid HD Collection was going to be released soon, including previous games like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, which both originally appeared for the PlayStation 2, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, which was released last year for the PSP, all remastered for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Now, Konami has released a few more details, detailing just what editions of the games will appear in the collection. As such, the collection will include Metal Gear Solid 2's Substance version, as well as Metal Gear Solid 3's Subsistence edition, which includes the first two original Metal Gear titles that first appeared for the MSX.

As such, you'll be able to play on your PS3 or Xbox 360 a game made originally for the PS2, that includes games made for the old MSX system.

"Created by the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection showcases some of the most popular Metal Gear Solid titles in true HD for the first time," Konami said. "The compilation comprises five seminal games including Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in full HD, and also contains the two games that started it all: Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, which were originally released for MSX more than 20 years ago. As such, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection offers old and new fans a chance to experience the epic game play, design and storytelling of the MGS franchise."

While the Metal Gear Solid HD collection is still scheduled to appear on November 8, in North America, the company has also confirmed that its European release date has been pushed back to February 3, although a concrete reason for this move has yet to be given.
