Despite being engaged for almost three years now

Megan Fox’s popularity and appeal with the public have been increasing considerably ever since she had her big onscreen break with “Transformers.” Yet, in her personal life, she continues to remain a very private person who likes to live a “normal” life, away from the spotlight and with a few eccentricities every now and then. One of them could also be her stubborn refusal to get married, despite having been engaged for the past three years, as she reveals to Us Weekly magazine.

The “Transformers” beauty, who has often been compared to a younger, more beautiful version of Angelina Jolie, has been in a relationship with Brian Austin Green of the “Beverly Hills 90210” fame for almost five years. They got engaged in 2006 and have been on and off over the past months. Despite the love story that they’re living, Megan says, she’s not ready yet to get married and settle down, because she’s simply not marriage material.

“I’m not going to be married – I’m not the marrying type. And I know your next question is going to be – ‘Why are you engaged if you’re not the marrying type?’ I am impulsive and I love my boyfriend, but I have no plans of getting married any time soon.” the stunning actress says for the aforementioned publication. Granted, this is not the first time that Fox says that, were she ever to get married, she would do something out of the ordinary and extremely low-key because she doesn’t like to live her life by standards imposed upon her by others.

As we reported earlier this year, Megan and Green have been going through a rougher patch in their relationship over the past months, with sources saying either that their relationship is over completely, or breathing its last breaths. Either way, from what the actress says, they’re still very much together, even if not heading down the aisle just yet – or making any plans in this sense.

“It’s not going to be a big wedding. I’m not one of those girls. If it happens, it will be very low-key and quick and unplanned. I feel like I need to set my career and do a movie other than ‘Transformers.’ Then I’ll explore family.” Megan Fox was saying not long ago about her plans for her personal life.
