The challenge of an airborne invasion

Electronic Arts (EA) has just pushed up front another mobile game and its thrilling challenge. Medal of Honor Airborne is a World War II game which emphasizes an airborne invasion in Europe.

War has always been a good subject for developing game concepts. It involves strategy, action and virtual blood spills. What can be more entertaining than that? The player takes on the role of Boyd Travers, a rank-and-file soldier in the 82nd Airborne division which has the opportunity to become part of the battle.

The player has to face strong opponents right from the start. They will be parachuted into open plains or heavily populated cities with the task of using the display guide to navigate the terrain and complete their objective. The character also has a flare tool for asking for help, when in need of paratroop reinforcements. Moreover, he can also use grenades to ambush the opponent nearby and save himself.

There are up to eight levels of intense combat for the players to destroy key objects and eliminate enemies in famous World War II battles such as D-Day and Market Garden. It's one of those games that manage to recreate the actual situation and make the player feel the intense action of the reality that it all started from. All this, with the advantage of taking it anywhere and at any times, with the help of mobile phones.

"Medal of Honor Airborne on your mobile presents explosive action on the go and stays true to the core experience of the franchise", said Travis Boatman, vice president worldwide studios, EA Mobile. "Each level of the game is unique and provides new challenges for players to overcome", he further added.

"Medal of Honor Airborn" will be from now on available for download on European handsets from many major wireless carriers. The game will also hit U.S. grounds through wireless carriers later this month.
