When they first started dating, the world doubted they would last more than a few months. When they got married, the world still called it a whim. Now nearing their 2-year wedding anniversary, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are preparing to be wed again, for the third time, as Us Magazine informs.

As fans must know, the two stars have already tied the knot twice, the first time in a secret ceremony and the second in a fancier party, where they could be together with all the family and friends who could not attend the first ceremony. Each year will bring yet another one of these fancy parties, as Nick reveals for the aforementioned magazine that he and Mariah will make this into a yearly tradition, something they can call their own and no one else’s.

So nice, they’re doing it thrice! Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon will be tying the knot for the third time on April 30, which is their two-year wedding anniversary. Expect a similar blowout in 2011, 2012... and beyond, as long as they’re together,” Us Magazine writes. And that will happen for the rest of their lives, Cannon says for the publication, as they continue to remain as in love with the other as they were when they first said their “I Do’s.”

“We get married every year! That’s our thing. So it’s going to be our third wedding this year. That’s what we’ll be doing on the actual [anniversary]...We’ll do something... A party or event, just to celebrate,” Cannon further explains. He’ll also have to do some serious shopping as well, for who has ever seen a bride without a proper engagement ring. “That’s totally right. This is the third ring I have to buy... It’ll be something different. Something good,” Nick explains.

Knowing Mariah’s exquisite taste and penchant for the eccentric, chances are the party won’t be “just” something to celebrate, but a full-blown A-list event that will be the talk of town for weeks. Whether that actually turns out to be the case, you will find out here.
