The newest Intel chipset is now out and rolling and, of course, makers of motherboards and custom PCs were quick to enlist it for their respective projects, Maingear being just one of them.

By now, consumers that keep tabs on such things will undoubtedly know that the latest Intel chipset has arrived. Known as Z68, it has already been adopted by quite the number of motherboard makers, including Biostar, Gigabyte, etc.

In fact, first-tier mainboard makers actually have high hopes for this month (May, 2011), with target sales being of about 400,000.

No doubt the swiftness with which custom PC makers adopted the motherboards has something to do with this optimism.

In fact, it wasn't long ago that CyberPower announced it had integrated them into its gaming systems and workstations.

Now, Maingear has come forth to make a similar announcement in regards to its SHIFT, F131, VYBE and X-Cube desktops.

Granted, the official website has yet to see the machines actually updated with the new platforms, although it shouldn't take long for this to change.

All in all, prospective buyers shouldn't have to wait too long before being able to get a hold of a system with real-time graphics switching (via LucidLogix Virtu) and the Smart Response Technology.

"The new Intel Z68 chipset is a great update to the Sandy Bridge platform," said Wallace Santos, CEO and founder of Maingear.

"Offering this update for our customers using this chipset is not only more affordable than getting a hybrid SSD mechanical HHD, it also provides faster HDD performance."

Users with enough money in their bank accounts need only drop by this page if they wish to get acquainted with all the other hardware options (graphics, storage, CPU, memory, etc.).
